TURISAS Violinist Talks Forthcoming Album In New Video Interview
March 11, 2013Jo Schüftan of Horns Up Rocks! conducted an interview with violinist Olli Vänskä of Finnish "battle metal" warriors TURISAS prior to the band's February 6 concert in New York City. You can now watch the chat below.
TURISAS will release fourth studio album, "Guards Of Glory" in May via Century Media Records. The drums for the follow-up to 2011's "Stand Up And Fight" were laid down at Atomic Spa studio in Helsinki, Finland, with the rest of the instruments recorded in different locations. The follow-up to 2011's "Stand Up And Fight" is scheduled for a release in May 2013 via Century Media Records.
TURISAS recently announced changes in its lineup. The band's original drummer, Tuomas "Tude" Lehtonen, stepped aside and was replaced by Jaakko Jakku. Also departing was bassist Jukka-Pekka Miettinen, who is focusing on his own musical projects. The bass duties going forward are being taken care of by Jesper Anastasiadis
Lehtonen and Miettinen's "official farewell party" took place at TURISAS' New Year's Eve show on December 31, 2012 at Nosturi in Helsinki, Finland.
